Everyone loves roses and so do I. I love how they look, smell and perform on my stubborn skin… Roses have an infinitely long list of health and beauty benefits that cannot be written in a few words. It is seriously very beneficial and economical to include roses in your daily beauty regime. They have been used by women since ancient times across the globe to severe several beauty benefits. Princesses, Queens and Royalty could never get ready without roses and used their petals to perfume their baths. There are various rose petal powder benefits for skin…

Not only they have a sensational fragrance but also have zillion of uses.

For my current skincare routine, I use Rose Petal Powder but there are many other ways you can use roses for your skin such as dried petal powder, rose water, essential oil etc. Today I am going to list three different ways I include roses in my daily skincare regime..

The Rose Petal Powder I am currently using is Mesmara Rose Petal Powder but you can use any one whichever you prefer or find at your local store. You can also make your own rose petal powder by simply taking a few fresh roses, plucking the petals from the base of the stems and letting them dry in direct sunlight until they are completely dried.

All you have to do later is crush the dried leaves and grind them into a fine powder. Remember, if you are making DIY Rose Petal Powder, make a small quantity so that it is fresher and always store it in an air tight container.

The best thing about these three steps of my skincare regime with roses is that the hero is only and only ROSE and nothing else. We will not need any other ingredient to achieve a flawless and acne free skin in this particular regime.

If you have a sensitive skin, nothing can be more cruelty-free and effective for you than roses. Before proceeding, let us check some major benefits of using Rose Petal Powders.

Rose Petal Powder Benefits for Skin:

*Deeply cleans the skin
*Rich in antioxidants and vitamin C
*Slows aging process
*Reduces fine lines and wrinkles
*Reduces pigmentation and blemishes
*Soothes acne and pimples
*Keeps skin moisturized
*Makes skin glowing and plump
*Improves overall hair health

My Skincare Regime with Rose Petal Powder:

Before proceeding, let me mention that I have oily, acne prone and sensitive skin. After using Rose Petal Powder in these three ways regularly, I have noticed a major improvement in the quality of my skin. Rose petal powder benefits for skin are many in number. It makes the skin look very bright and clean instantly. It removes dead and dull skin and makes me look fresh… Also, it removes excess oil from the skin, maintains the skin oil balance, kills and removes germs and bacteria from the face and calms it down. Here are the three ways you can also start using Roses into your daily skincare routine.

1. Cleanser

Yes. This powder acts as an amazing cleanser and you literally do not need to use any foamy and chemically made face wash from now onwards. Just wet up your face, take 1/4th teaspoon powder onto your palm and make a paste out of it. Apply the paste onto your face, gently massage it for one or two minutes in circular, upward motions and rinse it off with plain water.

I use this cleanser thrice a day, one early in the morning, second in the evening and the last, at night. If you find it messy to make the paste instantly on your palm, you could definitely make it in a bowl and then use it. Since I have been regularly using it thrice a day, I find the bowl method a bit too formal and time consuming.

This cleanser instantly removes excess oil and dirt from the skin and makes it look more plump and clean. It does not irritate my skin in any way, reduces inflammation and also does not bother my existing acne.

2. Facial Steam

Taking steam on a regular basis is very helpful as it helps unclog pores which in turn allows deep cleansing, relaxing the skin and giving it an instant glow. It releases all oil, dirt, and toxins from the skin, thus acting as a very budget friendly detoxifier. It also helps remove blackheads and whiteheads.

Facial steaming should be atleast done once a week but I do it twice, mostly on Sundays and Thursdays. Initially, I used to take a steam for just three minutes but now I can tolerate it for five to eight minutes. You should never do it for more than ten minutes. If you cannot find enough time for yourself, atleast do this step every weekend.

What I do is I take one teaspoon rose petal powder and add it into my steamer. I then start facial steaming from low steam to medium. Since I have a sensitive skin, I never set high steam mode in my steamer to avoid any mishaps and always make sure to maintain enough distance. Remember to take necessary precautions and avoid hurting yourself in any way by steaming.

If you don’t have a steamer at home, you can simply boil some water, pour it into a pot and add one teaspoon powder into it. Then cover your head and the pot to trap enough steam but again, make sure to be safe and careful.

3. Face Mask

This is no surprise that Rose Petal Powder mixed into a face pack can give your skin a lot of remuneration. Rose petal powder benefits for skin increase more when you make a paste out of it. I take one teaspoon rose petal powder in a mixing bowl and add enough water in it to make a lump free paste having a consistency identical to a foundation. If you have a dry skin, you can use milk instead of water. You can ofcourse add more of your favorite skincare ingredients into this paste but I like to use it alone.

I love how this face pack feels on my face… It relaxes my skin every single second until it dries and has a very mild yet mesmerizing smell. Once it is fully dried, I wash the mask off with plain water and pat dry my face with a paper towel. The results are instantaneous and my skin looks more glowing after one or two hours..

This simple and budget friendly skincare regime has helped me achieve a lot. Try these three steps for atleast one week and I am pretty sure, you would also love the results. Rose petal powder has definitely become my holy grail and I think I will never go back to any face wash or soap because this is the most natural, safe and cruelty-free cleanser I could use. On regular usage, roses can slow down the aging process by reducing fine lines and wrinkles, keep the skin firm, remove sun tan and reduce hyperpigmentation.
