Review: Vert Tranquil Solid Perfume

Hi Everyone! I hope you are doing good.
Today I am going to share my review about another product received in my July 2017
My Envy Box“. Honestly telling you guys, I had never used a solid perfume before but the idea really seemed interesting. A solid perfume is really easy to make, lasts longer, smells nice, doesn’t have alcohol, is safe to use and is more portable. However they are not widely used by people out there. It is not a new idea or product at all and has been used for ages since around the Egyptian times.
Keep on reading this post to know my experience, my opinion and pros and cons of this product.

Product Description: All the delicacy & softness of cocoa butter & almond oil in this alcohol-free solid perfume, for fragrant touch-ups throughout the day. Apply on pulse points (neck, bust, wrists).

Cost: Rs. 1300 for 10 gm

Shelf Life: 13 months

Ingredients: Cocoa Butter, Almond Oil, Bees Wax, Fragrance Oil

Instructions: Store below 25¬į in dry place. Consume within 6 months of opening. The pack shelf life is for sealed pack.

Packaging: The perfume comes in a small, cute, transparent, white tub having a transparent screw cap. The ingredients list is mentioned across the body of the tub and some more information is written at the bottom. Since most of the solid perfumes come in a pot, I will not complaint enough about it but I personally think that they can have some other kind of packaging as well like a lipstick or something else. Or they should atleast provide a spatula inside.

Texture and Consistency: This off white colored perfume has a soft, smooth, creamy texture and a very thick (or solid) consistency.

My Experience: When I got this product in My Envy Box and opened it for the first time, I had such a bad impression due to which I said in the post that I cannot recall what its fragrance is like. I still cannot describe that scent in words but it was bad and something that I wouldn’t like. When I used it after around two days, I found a very mild floral smell, so I realised that this is one of those products which need your body heat so that the ingredients can be activated or that whose top layer needs to be removed to get the actual scent.

It is very light weight, tiny and travel friendly. Since I am allergic to alcoholic perfumes, this perfume seemed like a savior for me because it is free from alcohol and preservatives. I have nothing much to say about this perfume since smell is not something I can show you or describe in words. It smells fine, isn’t over powering at all but isn’t something very alluring. I dip a cotton swab against the product and then onto my pulse points. I don’t prefer rubbing my finger in it because it isn’t hygienic. There is a very little fragrance in it which multiple swipes. The smell is actually a very basic one but pleasant.

I guess mild, floral scents are liked by everyone and this one would be liked by almost every body but for the price point, its not at all good. Who would want to spend Rs. 1300 for a solid perfume that gives them a very basic floral smell, that too after multiple swipes? To me, overall this product is just okay but has nothing worth appreciating or liking.

Pros of Vert Tranquil Solid Perfume:

  • Free from alcohol and preservatives
  • Mild floral smell, not over powering
  • Ingredients list mentioned
  • Travel friendly, light weight
  • Sturdy packaging
  • Spill proof

Cons of Vert Tranquil Solid Perfume:

  • Doesn’t live upto claims
  • No wow factor
  • Smell not very nice or alluring
  • Extremely pricey
  • Worthless
  • Little quantity offered
  • Need to be swiped multiple times of little smell
  • Unhygienic tub packaging

Will I recommend it?
Never. I am not at all happy by this product and will not recommend it at all.

Will I repurchase it?
No, never. I would have thought of buying it again if it was for 130 bucks but I’ll never spend 1300 bucks on such a bad product.

My Ratings: 2/5

Final Verdict: This product has unfortunately made a very bad impression on me and I am highly disappointed! Overall smell is not bad but for Rs. 1300, never. Cinthol Deostick smells so so so better and leaves a lingering fragrance all day than this one. I would buy 13 such deosticks in this much amount and would smell great all day. It doesn’t feel like I have applied perfume.. You can hardly smell it ūüôĀ
