Hi Guys! I hope you all are doing good…

Today I am going to review Vedantika Herbals Ayurvedic Neem Tulsi Shampoo with you all.. Herbal shampoos are one of the first approach one has whenever he/she gets hair fall and other hair issues. I have also tried many herbals shampoos in the past but the combination of Neem and Tulsi in a shampoo is quite new for me.

I have a very old relation with Neem and Tulsi because of my acne prone skin and I have already told you guys in my earlier reviews that Neem suits my skin very well. I love Tulsi for its anti inflammatory properties and its overall benefits for skin and hair but I was very intrigued when I got to use this combo for my hair.

Herbal shampoos are really good for our hair as they prevent germ causing bacteria, treat scalp infections and itching, reduce hair fall, treat hair thinning and a lot more. A lot of Indian brands offer completely organic, natural and herbal shampoos but not everything works for everyone.

I am going to review this product via its sample but I will leave all the details about the full sized product below.. If you are wondering how this herbal shampoo worked for me, then please keep on reading this post till the end…

Have a look at the original packaging here…

The sample size I have here in front of me is very simple and just for review purpose. It does not have any details mentioned and the product actually comes inside a transparent, plastic bottle with a white screw cap. It has an airtight plug inside which keeps the shampoo away from leaking..

Smell: A mixture of Neem and Tulsi

Texture and Consistency: This shampoo is a light green colored, liquid gel and has a runny consistency.

My Experience: This review is based upon my thin-fine, straight and silky hair with an oily scalp. I take a coin sized product of this shampoo on my plam, gently rub it on my hands and then incorporate it with my wet hair. I gently massage my scalp focusing on the roots and very less on the strands of the hair.

A little quantity is enough for washing my medium length hair.. It has a smell of Neem and Tulsi which I am very used to and it does not linger throughout the day. The smell goes as soon as I wash the hair but its not bad or overpowering at all and I actually find it refreshing and soothing..

This is a herbal and an SLES free shampoo but it turns into a slight foaming lather when in contact with water. Although lather in hair gives a virtual satisfaction of scalp and hair cleansing, it does more harm than you could actually think. I always make sure to condition my hair after shampooing it and Garnier condition really works well with this one.

I usually shampoo in every three days and at that point of time, my hair really turns oily and greasy and this shampoo cleans all the residue quite well. Since it does not foam at all, I do not use it whenever I have to wash my oiled-up hair because when I oil, I wet up every single strand of my hair in oil from root till the end.

As the sample size is not very big, it still lasted me for four uses and I could see an effective result in controlling hair fall and dandruff. This is a really good herbal hair cleanser and makes my hair shiny, soft and healthy. I have been facing mild dandruff issues these days which makes my scalp really itchy sometimes but its formulation is quite soothing which calms my scalp without being extremely cooling and reduces dandruff notably..

Pros of Vedantika Herbals Ayurvedic Neem Tulsi Shampoo:
*100% natural
*Free from preservatives
*Little quantity required
*Cleans the scalp and all the residue quite well
*Free from sulphates
*Soothing formulation
*Treats scalp infections and itching
*Prevents hair fall and dandruff
*Nice herbal smell
*Value for money

Cons of Vedantika Herbals Ayurvedic Neem Tulsi Shampoo:
*Only available online
*Despite being an SLES free shampoo, foams in contact with water

Will I repurchase it?
Yes. This shampoo is a nice herbal one and does all that it claims. It moisturises my hair quite well and gets rid of all my hair problems effectively without being harsh at all.

Will I recommend it?
Yes. If you are looking for a good herbal shampoo that controls hair fall, prevents it, treats dandruff and is SLES free, I would definitely recommend you to try it…

Is it worth the price?
Yes. It is completely worth the price as it does all that it claims and has a good and promising result.

My Ratings: 5/5

Final Verdict: Overall, it is one of the best herbal shampoos I have ever tried. If you have read my review about Bio Bloom Scalp Cleanser, you would know how disappointed I was with it but this one lives upto its claims and meets my expectations.

It is not at all harsh or drying and cleans the scalp nicely. There is no artificial smell or colour and the formula is also very mild and soothing. It keeps my hair soft, cleaned and healthy in addition to treating all hair problems and getting rid of scalp residue.

  1. Nice and detailed review. Neem and tulsi is an amazing combination in a shampoo. But I have dry scalp. I don’t think this will work for me…

  2. Very helpful review dear.. I was planning to buy Sesa shampoo but now I think I’ll buy it… Thanks

  3. I used to enjoy using herbal products a lot but since I moved out of India my connection with herbal products has lost. Now reading your review I am so tempted. I do use the Himalaya Neem face pack for my acne prone skin which I make sure to bring with me. 🙂
