Review: Richfeel Skin Whitening Facial Kit

Hi Everyone! I hope you are doing good..

Today I am going to review Richfeel Skin Whitening Facial Kit for you all.. I have had facial once in my life (on my engagement) but this was the first ever facial kit that I owned.. I know how to do facial and what care is needed but I just did not do it till now. I was really excited for this particular product because if it worked, I wouldn’t be needing to waste 2-3 hours in the parlour again..

We all know how Indian parlours are and how long you need to sit and wait for your turn.. Before starting I would like to mention that I have a fair skin tone and even if I had a dusky or dark skintone, I would never try to attain fairness or use skin whitening products.

I think beauty is defined by how we are and not about what skin color we have. I am reviewing it just for the fact that I got it in my PR and even if it does not “whiten” my skin, I wouldn’t rate it down on that basis. Also, I’d like to add that I do own some skin lightening product but just for the fact that I have been battling with acne and hedious scars they leave ever since I entered teenage and such products help me in lightening my acne scars.

Skin whitening has never been my interest and it wouldn’t be even if I was dark. I may and may not recommend this product to you on the basis of how it works but if you are reading this review to attain fairness, I would request you to stop worrying about how your skin color is. Always remember, a beautiful skin is flawless and not white.. I have already reviewed Richfeel Shampoo, Conditioner and Anti-Blemish Cream. If you want to know how this Skin Whitening Facial Kit worked for me, then please keep on reading..

Benefits: Richfeel Skin Whitening Facial is a powerful formula for improving skin complexion. Enriched with natural goodness of olive oil & Berberis aquifolium Extract, it is an effective treatment to help improve skin fairness. It is excellent for all types of skin and especially for tanned skin.

Cost: Rs. 150 per kit

Shelf Life: 2 years

Availability: Richfeel Original Website, Amazon, Shopclues

Packaging: This kit comes in a blue colored box which opens up at the top. All five sachets are properly stacked inside and all the useful information is mentioned in, on and at the sides of the box.

All the steps are properly listed inside the box..

Inside the box: This Facial Kit has five sachets of 6g each and contains Skin Whitening Cleanser, Skin Whitening Scrub, Skin Whitening Gel, Skin Whitening Massage Cream and Skin Whitening Pack. Ideally this kit is meant for a single use but for me the product was enough to be used twice, so me and my sister shared it…

1. Skin Whitening Cleanser

Claim: Deep pore cleanser to remove dirt, oil and stale make-up

Directions for use: Take sachet of Skin Whitening Cleanser and apply entire contents on the face and neck. Massage gently for two-three minutes. Wipe it with wet cotton…

Ingredients: Berberis Aquifolium Extract, Olive Oil, Butylated Hydroxy Toluene, Polysorbate 20, Emulsifying Wax, Purified Water

My Experience: This cleanser is white in color, has a cream based formulation and its consistency is medium. It has a mild, floral smell which I personally like and find pleasant. I started off by washing my face and pat drying it with a paper towel.

Then I took a coin sized amount in between my fingers and gently massaged it in to my face and neck. I used gentle, circular motions for a couple of minutes and then wiped it off by using a cotton pad.

The cleanser does not have very high astringent properties but makes the skin feel cool and soothed. After a few minutes of cleansing and massaging my face, I felt relaxed and my skin was smelling really great. Although I had washed my face already, there was a lot of dirt on the cotton pad. It cleans up the skin very well and removes dirt and skin secretions by penetrating deep into the skin.

2. Skin Whitening Scrub:

Claim: Exfoliates and rejuvenates the skin

Directions for use: Take Skin Whitening Scrub Sachet and apply entire contents on the face and neck. Gently massage for 3 to 5 minutes. Give steam for 5-7 mintes. Remove blackheads and whiteheads..

Ingredients: Berberis Aquifolium Extract, Olive Oil, Walnut Shell Granules, Isopropyl Myristate, Glycrine, Kaolin, Stearic Acid, Purified Water

My Experience: After removing the cleanser, I was all set to move ahead with the second step. You guys already know how much I love scrubs for the benefits exfoliation has but I hate scrubs that are abrasive and harsh on the skin. I cut the sachet and again squeezed a coin sized product on my fingers and gently placed it on my face and neck.

The scrub is off white in color and has medium sized brown colored walnut granules in it. The consistency of the scrub is really light and more towards a runny side. The granules are not very fine but are non-abrasive and gentle on the skin. The scrub has a very mild smell of walnut I guess but it is subtly sweet and a very little fruity. I can’t really explain how the smell was.

So I applied a little amount of product on my face and neck and started massaging my skin gently. The appease massage went ahead for upto 5 minutes using different facial massage techniques but I made sure to work in upwards and circular motions only. The scrub was really conciliate and removed all my blackheads, stubborn dirt and dead skin cells.

I did not scrub my eyes and did not give steam to my face because I did not want to but you can do that as well. But I rinsed my face with warm water and pat dry with a soft towel. The reason I used a towel after scrub is that it also exfoliates our skin gently, so I wanted to get rid of all the residue, if any..

3. Skin Whitening Gel:

Claim: Hydrates the skin and helps to reduce the effects of stress

Directions for use: Apply entire contents of sachet of Skin Whitening Gel on the face and neck. Massage for 7 to 8 minutes. If you wish to give galvanic or ultrasonic machine application, you may give it for 3 to 5 minutes..

Ingredients: Berberis Aquifolium Extract, Olive Oil, Carbomer- 940, Glycerine, Isopropyl Alchol, Triethanolamine, Polysorbet- 60

My Experience: For the third step, I cut the sachet and again squeezed out a coin sized product in between my fingers. Then I placed it on my neck and face and started massaging it again with very gentle motions. This gel has a clear color, a medium consistency and again a very mild smell which is a plus point for my sensitive nose.

It spreads easily on the skin and absorbs well and quite quickly while massaging. I made sure to massage my undereye area properly as well to nourish it with all the hydration it needs. It gave me a fresh and calm feeling just like the cleanser and left a very light cooling sensation which I love. You guys know how much I enjoy an astringent feel on my skin, right?

4. Skin Whitening Massage Cream:

Claim: Nourishes the skin and gives fairness

Directions for use: Apply entire sachet of Skin Whitening Massage Cream on face and neck. Massage for 10 minutes.

Ingredients: Berberis Aquifolium Extract, Olive Oil, Silicon Oil, Bees Wax, Light Liquid Paraffin, Glyceryl Mono Stearate, Polysorbate- 80

My Experience: The fourth step was to massage my skin and I cut the sachet and squeezed some product on my fingers. This massaging cream has a very waxy, balm-like and thick consistency which is why I first rubbed it in between my fingers so that the ingredients are activated by my body temperature. I then placed it on my cheeks, forehead, chin, nose and neck.

It has a mild, waxy smell identical to Bees Wax which is one of the core ingredients of this cream. Since this is a massage cream, I went ahead with gentle massage for around 12 minutes. I made to sure my fingertips and not my palm, that too in an upward circular motion. Since the cream is really really thick, I kept on adding water time to time whenever I felt it was getting very thick to work with.

After around ten minutes, I stopped incorporating it with water and it took around two minutes then for the cream to get completely absorbed into my skin. Coming to the result, I’d say “Oh My GOD!”, this was a miracle! I could see an instant result and my skin was really really bright and cleaned. There was an jiff glow and it worked wonderfully in removing the dead skin on my face and neck.

5. Skin Whitening Pack:

Claim: Tightens the skin, makes it fairer and radiant

Directions for use: Take Richfeel Skin Whitening Pack in a bowl and add required quantity of water or rose water. Make a paste and apply pack with brush for face and neck. Remove the pack with a wet sponge when it dries up.

Ingredients: Berberis Aquifolium Extract, Kaolin Powder, Multani Mitti

My Experience: Last but obviously not the least step of this facial kit is the face pack. This face pack is beige in color and is actually a very very fine powder. It has a herbacious smell and looks exactly like Multani Mitti or Fuller’s Earth which is one of the core ingredients of this pack.

You can add water or rose water in it and I ofcourse added my holy grail “Rose Water”. I mixed it well to make a lump free paste having a consistency identical to a foundation. The pack is actually very very smooth in formulation. I used a brush to apply a thin and even layer all over my face avoiding my eyes and left it for around 15 minutes. The pack left a cooling sensation when applied but started to make my skin feel warmed up when it dried.

Then I washed my face with normal water without rubbing the mask. It got washed away easily and made the skin feel silky smooth. It really worked to make my skin look clear and glowly.

Overall Experience and Final Thoughts:

My final thoughts about this facial kit are based upon my oily, acne prone and sensitive skin.. As I already mentioned, this review is not sponsored but I would scream out loud that I love this facial kit. It did not irritate my sensitive skin at all and made it soothed and relaxed.

I could notice that the redness and size of my fresh acne was reduced notably which is a really good thing.. The facial was very pleasant and cleansed my skin very properly. For a sensitive nose like mine, this product gets a big fat thumbs up from my side. All the products had a very mild and refreshing smell.

This facial kit removed all the dead and dull skin I had and I could see a much cleansed and radiant face right after the process. Another pro vote goes to the fact that it does not dry out the skin at all which is a plus point for dry skin ladies out there. It made my skin relaxed, refreshed and very smooth.

Now coming to the “Skin Whitening” claim, I’d say I could see a visible difference in my skin’s look as all the dead skin was removed but there isn’t like my skin tone got very improved or lifted. It works really well in removing the dead cells which is the reason your skin looks lighter and brighter but please do not expect it to change your entire skin tone.

Nothing works overnight if you are looking forward to whiten your skin which you actually shouldn’t. Obviously I have a lot of acne scars and blemished and I don’t expect it to whiten them up in a single go. Overall, it does work really well in making the skin bright, radiant, even toned, smooth, calm and soothed.

Lastly I went ahead with some moisturiser and found Coccoon Eternal Youth Smart Night Serum the best choice since it is non greasy yet very moisturising for my skin type…

Pros of Richfeel Skin Whitening Facial Kit:
*Ingredients list mentioned
*All steps properly explained
*Can be used twice
*Meant for all skin types
*Does not irritate sensitive skin at all
*Mild, pleasant smell
*Travel friendly
*Cruelty free
*Value for money

Cons of Richfeel Skin Whitening Facial Kit:

Will I repurchase it?
Since Indian wedding and festive season is all set, I have already ordered two for me and my mum. I really liked the result, pricing and quality of this facial kit, so I’ll definitely repurchase it again and again. And the fact that only a few product actually suit my problematic skin makes this facial kit my new beauty pal..

Will I recommend it?
This facial kit is a really nice option to try if you have an event or a party coming up or if you just want to pamper yourself. I’ll highly recommend you to try it out once and I am sure it will do the magic for you.

Is it worth the money?
Completely. There is nothing that I am not assured of and nothing I could have asked for in this price point. I am completely in love with it and find it fully worth the price charged.

My Ratings: 5/5

My Advice: Facial is obviously all about doing massage in a proper way. If you do not know how to do a facial and what steps or massages to follow, please do not do it at home. It can lead to more skin problems, wrinkles and increase your ageing process. If you do not know how to do it, please do not believe in your “Grammar” for reading, understanding and replicating all the steps.

Facial has a really good result and an amazing impact on the health and overall appearance of our skin but it can turn into a disaster if you are doing it in a wrong manner. I would suggest you to please take your facial kit in a parlour and get it done by a professional.

Final Verdict: Apparently, this is a really nice facial kit for all skin types which works just as claimed and does not harm or irritate the skin at all. It is completely free from all harsh chemicals, parabens and other cruel ingredients. It works beautifully in making the skin feel healthy from within, bright, supple, nourished and cleansed.

The brand also advises to use 2 to 4 drops of Richfeel Skin Lightening lotion to Richfeel Skin Whitening Gel, Skin Whitening Massage Cream & Skin Whitening Pack for better results. Since I did not have it, I skipped it and still got a really nice outcome.

  1. Seems like a good kit to have in one’s beauty arsenal, my sister has couple of weddings to go to next week, so will gift this to her for quick brightening session 🙂

  2. Loved reading your detail review! This looks like a very nice facial kit and so inexpensive. Hope it is also available in the Richfeel Clinics. Would love to try. 🙂

  3. I love your perception about fairness dear. We should focus on making our skin healthy instead of whitening it. This facial kit sounds really nice! And nice advice to take our facial kit with us to parlour. That way we’ll reap the maximum benefits of it 🙂

  4. I had never set my eyes on Richfeel Facial kit before. But after reading your detailed review I would love to give it a try. And seriously, like you said, I really wish they start marketing these products as ‘brightening’ or instead of whitening. Every skin tone is beautiful!

  5. I really liked how you have explained all the minute details and the pros and cons of all the products …would definately want to try it out soon.

  6. Wah, kitna accha review kiya hai, step ek ek pics k sath ??
Cream claim to accha kar rahi hai aur aapko result bhi positive mila ?? main bhi try karungi, super affordable bhi hai aur shelf life bhi acchi hai
Thanks for sharing honest n detailed review ❤️❤️

  7. I have acne problem too which is why I refrain from getting facial… I fear if anything reacts and I get more acne..

As the festive season is going on, I was really looking forward to a mild facial kit and this one screams to me… Going to order it right away… Thanks for the detailed review…

  8. You are right about facials needing proper massaging techniques. I’m a person who prefers at home facials and this would be a great affordable option to try. Loved your detailed review of the product 🙂

  9. OMG! such an in-depth review dear… There is nothing more I could have wondered about the product… U have covered everything..

  10. I personally agree that choosing whitening products with attempts to change your natural skin colour is like torturing oneself but everyone even fair skinned people do suffer from uneven skin tone, blemishes and post inflammatory scars that need to be addressed and “whitening” is not the word I would use, instead “brightening or lightening would seem justifiable.
I personally don’t use at home facial kits but always enjoy me some peels so yeah, if facial kits work for someone then they are definitely worth buying plus the price of this one is so inexpensive that it is not going to make a dent.
Finally, the review, you do put in a lot of effort huni.. ❤️???

    1. I highly agree with you dear ❤ We need to break the whitening tradition…

I used Zaria elixir as well and I loved the fact that they used the word brightening. Since i have a lot of scars, I also own many skin lightening products but just to make my skin look even toned and make my scars look lighter..

I know a lot of people personally and on my Instagram family who are all about whitening their skintone which really seems disheartening…
