Hi Guys! I hope you all are doing good… Today I am going to review Mesmara Lavender Essential Oil with you all.
Yesterday I reviewed their Australian Tea Tree Essential Oil as well, so don’t forget to check it out. Just like Tea Tree Oil, Lavender Oil is also very beneficial in treating various skin conditions and soothe it.
Ever since I used the Zaria Skin Brightening Serum by Elixir Shop, I had always wanted to try lavender essential oil separately. It not only reduces acne but also lightens scars, reduces blemishes and treats the issue of hyperpigmentation. It also reduces skin inflammation and is widely used to treat certain chronic skin conditions.
Lavender Essential Oil has innumerous benefits for the skin, hair, and body. I will make sure to list down most of them below.. Lavender Essential Oil was widely used in different forms by people of ancient times to avail its beauty benefits and perfume the skin or room.
Lavender has a lot of species and not all the Lavender Oils smell the same. However, most of the lavender essential oils have a wonderful, sweet and mesmerizing aroma. A very important factor to be kept in mind while using any essential oil is not to use it directly on the skin. These oils are highly concentrated and should always be diluted with some carrier oil before using. Otherwise, they may lead to more harm than good.
Now that the disclaimer and a little intro about this oil is out of our way, let’s quickly get started.. If you are interested in knowing the benefits of Lavender Oil, how I use it, will I recommend you to use it and what is my final verdict about this product, then please keep on reading this post till the end..

The smell is not actually good as I expected it to be. It is something I’ve never smelled before, thus I’m finding it really difficult to describe it.

My Experience with Mesmara Lavender Essential Oil:
As my research says, there are two main types of Lavender which are used in making Lavender essential oils and have almost the same efficacy. One is French Lavender which has a very pleasing aroma while the other one is Spike Lavender which has a “not-so-pleasing” scent and smells like camphor.
Since this oil has a high camphoraceous scent to it, I am sure it would be Spike Lavender. I am not very happy with the smell and would love if it was sweet and spellbinding just like the French Lavender but I don’t mind smells a lot if I am assured by a product’s quality and performance.
I love using essential oils in a diffuser and make my room smell good. With this one, I can’t but there are a lot of other purposes I take it for. First of all, I love to apply it by diluting it in Speaking Tree Jojoba Carrier Oil on my face to detoxify and tone it. I apply it on my skin with my fingers and it gets absorbed quickly.
I like to use Mesmara Lavender Essential Oil every morning after washing my face and maintaining the natural oil balance of my skin. It does not make skin look oily or shiny and does not clog my pores. It also feels soothing on the skin but does not feel very cool which is why I can easily apply it in winters too. My skin looks deep cleansed and balanced after using it.
To add on…
It does not cause any skin irritation or itching but actually reduces inflammation, if I have any. It reduces my acne and makes it less painful. Due to its deep cleansing properties, it also brightens the skin and de-tans it. It also prevents new acne to a much greater extent.
As for my hair, I love using it to condition them as they look really manageable afterward. I do not get any tangles after using it until next wash. For a conditioner, what I do is I add just three drops of it into ten drops of coconut oil and apply it into my damp hair.
It does not make hair look greasy or oily as the amount I use on my medium sized hair is enough. If you have shorter hair, go for lesser quantity to maintain that volume and freshness. Even though this lavender does not smell very good, it does not have a very strong scent in the hair which is again a plus point.
It has also helped my father in reducing and preventing dandruff, thus it also gets rid of itchy scalp. He also applies few drops of it on to his joints whenever he has any pain and it gets rid of it quite effectively.
