Hi Guys! I hope you’re doing good..

The Indian climate and temperature is really cruel for the hair and is enough to make them look lifeless and damaged. With increasing pollution day by day, your hair need a lot of care and protection from the dirt, dust particles, bacteria, sun rays and tons of damage. Treating hair fall issues and making them look bouncy, happy and healthy requires some really great products addition to a perfect hair care regime.

These days there a lot of hair care products flooded in the market and one of them being used in every single household is none but obviously a shampoo. A shampoo not only cleans our hair but also makes them look beautiful and hefty. But it is really important to choose the right shampoo for our hair that cleans the scalp, nourishes the roots and does not harm the hair or scalp in any way.

Most of the shampoos contain harmful chemicals in them such as sulphates which lead to a lot of lather giving an imaginary satisfaction to the person that they’re cleaning their hair well but it actually does more damage. With more and more awareness amongst the consumers, brands are now switching to Paraben and Sulphate free products which do not possess any harm to our skin or hair.

Few days ago, Glamisha sent me four products out of their five launches.. Today I am going to review their Shampoo for you all. Glamisha is an emerging brand that is working really hard to bring “Cruelty Free” Luxury Beauty & Personal Care products for skin & hair care junkies out there. All their products have pure ingredients, essential oils and extracts that make their product highly effective and yet gentle.

If you want to know how it worked for me, then please keep on reading this post till the end. Obviously, its not necessary that what works for me works for you as well.. I just hope my review helps you get a better idea about this product and you can decide whether you want to purchase it or not…

Product Description: Our shampoo repairs and strengthen your hair naturally. Our restorative shampoo fights drying, damaged and dehydrated hair. Helping to get rid of free radicals.

*Sulphate Free
*Paraben Free

Directions of Usage:

Cost: Rs. 395 for 100 ml

Shelf Life: 2 years

Availability: Glamisha’s Official Website, Amazon, Flipkart, Snapdeal, Shopclues

Packaging: I am a sucker for packaging and honestly telling you guys, I haven’t come across a packaging as classic as Glamisha’s for the last few months.. All their products look so similar and authoritative and are just distinguishable by their colors.

This shampoo has a red colored theme.. It comes in a cuboidal cardboard box having a red detailing and all necessary product details are mentioned on it.

The product comes inside a soft, white colored tube with red detailing & a matte-black, plastic flip cap which is sturdy enough to make the packaging mess proof. The size of the tube is quite large but not very heavy.

I somehow feel that the tube could be a little smaller in size when I squeeze it. What upsets me a little about the packaging is if I squeeze a little more product than required, I cannot keep it back into the tube. I wish I could unscrew the cap as well in just like most of the tubes have.

I can consider it while travelling because I like how stalwart the flip cap is but if you don’t like travelling with a large sized product, you can always transfer it in a smaller container.

Smell: Mild, Pleasant, Floral

Swatch Inspiration: IBeautySpy

Texture and Consistency: This shampoo has an off-white color with a very slight shimmer going inside and a liquid gel like texture. The consistency is neither too thick nor too thin, just like most of the shampoos.

My Experience: This review is based upon my thin-fine, straight and silky hair with an oily scalp. I usually shampoo my hair every three days and by that time they are quite greasy. I take a coin sized product of this shampoo on my palm, gently rub it between my hands and then incorporate it with my wet hair. I gently massage my scalp focusing on the roots and very less on the strands.

Since this is a sulphate free shampoo, it does not turn into a foaming lather when in contact with water. Although lather in hair gives a virtual satisfaction of scalp and hair cleansing, it does more harm than you could actually think. On the days, when my hair is really greasy, I repeat the process but on normal days, I do it just once, followed by Glamisha Conditioner.

Whether I shampoo once or twice, the formulation is gentle enough to keep my hair nourished. It does not make them dry or frizzy at all.. The mild smell remains for around a day which I subtly enjoy.. It is not at all overpowering and I quite like it..

A little quantity is enough for washing my medium length hair.. Since it does not foam at all, I do not use it whenever I have to wash my oiled-up hair because when I oil, I wet up every single strand of my hair in oil from root till the end. I actually do not use any sulphate free shampoo after oiling because I just don’t feel convinced 😀

This is a really good cruelty free shampoo and makes my hair soft and happy. It imparts a beautiful shine to my hair and makes them look easygoing and smooth. It cleanses the residue from the scalp quite effectively without stripping or depleting any natural oils and nutrient. It makes the hair very nourished and moisturised.

I have used sulphate free shampoos that do not work.. They do not even do a basic job of cleansing. This one, to be honest, works beautifully in cleansing and moisturising the scalp without being harsh. Since I currently do not have any scalp issue or dandruff problem, I cannot comment its effect on that but I must say it strengthens the hair notably..

Pros of Glamisha Shampoo:

*Free from Paraben and Sulphate
*Gives shine and luster to hair
*Strengthens hair from root
*Little quantity required
*Cleans the scalp and all the residue quite well
*Nice floral smell, not overpowering
*Value for money
*Spill proof and sturdy packaging
*Ingredients list mentioned
*Makes hair soft and shiny

Cons of Glamisha Shampoo:

*Only available online

Will I repurchase it?
Yes. Although I find it quite expensive but I don’t mind some extra money if a product is free from all harsh chemicals and works beautifully on my hair..

Will I recommend it?
Yes. If you are also a hair care junkie like me and are looking forward to a shampoo that does not harm you hair in any way, go ahead and grab this one..

Is it worth the price?
Yes. I find it pricey but fully worth the price. The quality is good, the cleansing is amazing and the after effect is absolutely lovely. A very little amount of product is required to get clean hair and if you shampoo twice a week like me, it is going to last you for a long time.

My Ratings: 4.8/5

Final Verdict: Overall, I like this shampoo a lot. It is not at all harsh or drying and cleans the scalp perfectly. The smell does not sweep over at all and I find it really good. It keeps my hair soft, cleaned and healthy in addition to getting rid of scalp residue and strengthening them.

If you are in search of a sulphate free shampoo that does not strip out the moisture from hair, I recommend you to try it once. I just wish a smaller quantity option was also available so that it could be convenient for travelling purposes and people could actually see if the product works for them or not. I hope the brand takes my suggestion as a positive note.

  1. A friend of mine gave me one of this as a present. After a month of using this, the end results were amazing. My hair looks fresh, shiny and alive. The problem though is it can only be purchased online. This product needs to be publicized .

      1. Your article helped me learn more about this product. Especially with the pros and cons together with the added extra instructions. Thanks a lot Zeba Noor
