DIY Eye Mask for Dark Circles, Puffy and Tired Eyes

Our eyes are the window to our soul.. They denote so much about us to others. Sad or worried, people tend to get smaller dark eyes; happy and cheerful, they have bright and big eyes. Not only our mood and emotions show up on our eyes but our work load, tiredness, skin and body problems and our genetics also contribute in giving us dark circles and  eye puffiness or bags.

Studying Maths all day, teaching students and working for long hours on laptop are factors more than enough to give me tired and dark eyes BUT TRUST ME WHEN I SAY THIS! I have no dark circles!! In my twelfth grade of school, I studied for long hours due to which my eyes started to turn dark and ill. It was at that time that my Nani (grandma) told me about an incredible remedy which made me look healthy, happy and bright eyed back again. Thank God she is always with me. She is someone who contributes 75% of what I share with you all and how I look.. 
With time, I am getting busier but this remedy takes care of my eyes always.. Without taking much time, let me share my beauty hack with you..
1. Potato – 1 (small sized)
2. Lemon Juice – 1 teaspoon or Lemon Gel – 1/4 teaspoon 
3. Aloe Vera Gel – 1/2 teaspoon
4. Cotton Pads – 2

1. Take a small potato and peel it. Grate it and squeeze the juice.

2. Add one teaspoon lemon juice in to it. If you have lemon gel available, then add one-fourth teaspoon. I am adding BioCare Lemon Gel here..

3. Now add half teaspoon Aloe Vera Gel in to the bowl.

4. Mix all the components really well.

5. Dip your cotton pads in it. If you don’t have them, you can use cotton balls or make DIY pads.

To make cotton pads, take a wet wipe, wash it and let it air dry. 

Now cut out two circles. Voila! Your DIY cotton pads are ready.

6. Soak the pads in the serum we just made and keep the bowl in refrigerator for five to eight minutes.

Your DIY Eye Mask is ready! Apply these cool cotton pads on your eyes and feel relaxed!

1. Potatoes have vitamin C, starch and enzymes which helps in nourishing skin and reduces swelling of the vessels which are under the eyes to diminish the dark circles.
2. Lemons also have vitamin C and citric acid in them which are used to treat many beauty and health problems including dark rings under eyes.
3. Aloe Vera gel protects the eye skin, boosts collagen production and help restore the suppleness of the skin around the eyes.

Frequency: Apply these eye patches on your eyes atleast thrice a week for 15 to 20 minutes to see good results..
